The Women's Nike Air Max 1 ’87 in a Denim Aura colorway has an upper with a base of midnight navy denim. Lighter denim with a faded, over-washed look overlays the side panel, eyestays, and heel. Overlays of white denim with brown stitching adorn the mudguard. Brown laces that match the mudguard stitching crisscross over a brown denim tongue with exposed foam. The sock liner is midnight navy, while the insole is brown with sail-colored Nike Air branding. We also see Nike Air branding embroidered on the brown leather tongue patch and on the denim heel counter.
