Chitose Abe’s sacai Blazer Low took sports performance heritage to a different realm, and now, Abe’s bringing along a friend to help ignite a new spark in her design. For her latest sacai Blazer Low, Abe’s invited Brooklyn-based artist KAWS to add his own surprise touches for their first ever sneaker collaboration. Starting with the blank canvas of Abe’s doubled-up design, KAWS created custom colourways of contrasting hues inspired by his series of works, URGE. Dressed in this unique pop palette, each sacai x KAWS Blazer Low also sees KAWS’s legendary “XX” motif lasered onto the midsole. Balancing Abe’s ethos of mixing harmony with abstraction, KAWS’s eye for vibrancy and boldness takes this sacai Blazer Low to a new aesthetic space.
